Training Camps
US SAILING's Olympic Sailing Committee organizes and runs training camps for the US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider, US Sailing Development Team (USSDT) and US Youth World Team (YWT).
In addition to on-the-water drills and racing, athletes will participate in off-the-water seminars about fitness, nutrition and technique. Guest speakers, including US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider members and past Olympians, will share knowledge and insight about how to run successful Olympic campaigns. The goal of the clinics is to provide young athletes with the tools they need to take their sailing to a new, elite level and achieve top, international results.

Upcoming USSDT/YWT Training Camps
US SAILING’s Olympic Sailing Program will also host five training camps in 2011 for young sailors who are on an Olympic track or are interested in launching an Olympic campaign in the future. These sailors will have the opportunity to train with the 2011 US Sailing Development Team (USSDT) and be coached by Olympic Sailing Program and high-level coaches. These training camps are also open to non-USSDT sailors who are interested in pursuing Olympic campaigns in the future. Sailors interested in attending one of these training clinics should email clinic organizers at development@ussailing.org with their plans for competing and training in 2011. For non-USSDT members, there will be a $400 charge per boat per training camp.
