US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics (USSTAG) member and 2008 Paralympic Gold Medalist Maureen McKinnon-Tucker (Marblehead, Mass.) has been named a finalist for the 2009 ESPY Awards. McKinnon-Tucker is one of four finalists in the category of Best Female Athlete with a Physical Disability. In 2008, McKinnon-Tucker won the gold medal with Nick Scandone at the Paralympic Games in China in the SKUD-18 class. With that impressive win, McKinnon-Tucker was the first female sailor ever to win a Paralympic gold medal. She is the only sailor on the list of finalists in all of the awards' categories.
