On July 6 at the Consulate General of Mexico, in Chicago, USSTAG’s Bob Willis represented the 2011 U.S. Pan American Games Team at a press conference coinciding with the 100-day mark until the Games begin in Guadalajara, Mexico. He was presented with a “Estoy a 100 dias” (Today is 100 days) Games T-shirt by Consul General Eduardo Arnal (photo top).
The sailing competition of the 2011 Pan American Games will feature nine events, including four Olympic classes - Laser (Men), Laser Radial (Women) and RS:X (Men and Women) - and five non-Olympic, open classes - Hobie 16, J/24, Lightning, Snipe and Sunfish. The Pan American Games are held every four years, historically one year before the Olympic Games.
