  5. If there is a series score tie between two or more boats, the tie shall be broken in favor of the boat with the better finish at Rolex Miami OCR.

  6. If less than three eligible teams or individuals compete in the minimum number of events to qualify for the team, the Olympic Sailing Committee may name fewer than three teams or individuals to the Team.

Additional Scoring Policies

  1. In order to count towards series score, helm and crew members must be eligible to represent the USA in the 2008 Paralympic Games.

  2. For triplehanded teams, two of the three sailors, including the helm must be the same at all of the qualifying events that are counted towards the ranking.

  3. In extremely unusual circumstances such as a medical emergency, the OSC ExCom may approve an exception to this policy.

  4. For SKUD-18 Teams, Helm and Crew must be the same at two of three events with helm being the same at all of the qualifying events that are counted towards the ranking.

Non Events

  1. If the Rolex Miami OCR is a non event, the OSC will announce new procedures for team Qualification, which may include existing and/or new qualifying events.

  2. For Sonar and 2.4mR, if either of the optional events is a non-event, then the system will become must sail, must count Pre-Trials and Rolex Miami OCR.
